Former Director of Environment in Korca Alexander Cela was found dead in a cell, in a prison in Hungary, where he was standing after being detained with clan refugees.
She had been in prison in the Hungarian country for ten days. Cela was arrested by Hungarian authorities on September 27th. He was found hanging a day later, September 28. Family has only taken over today, his death certificate.
The former director of the environment has been killed in prison.
The body is expected to be brought to the Albanian state to perform the mortore ceremony.
Who was it? Alexander Chelsea
Alexander Cela ran in 2011 as part of the SP, for the Next Town in the Pogradec district of Korca County.
The 48-year-old was appointed to the Pogradec Municipal Council, with the help of an ally party with the SP.
Cela could win by a slight margin of votes, but was subsequently sentenced by the court for failing to declare wealth. He was dismissed by the Berisha government for this very reason in 2011.
Although he managed to be appointed to the post of Environmental Director in Korca in 2013 with strong support from the Socialist Party.
The late man was known as the SP militant and his scandal after being detained in Italy for illegal passage of Syrian clans made headlines in the media.
