The Vetevendosje movement has problems with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci becoming Kosovo's host in dialogue with Serbia, while the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo is not having a position on the issue.
These opinions are expressed by Glauk Konjufca of Ahmet Isufi at the table for discussion organised by the Kosovo Democratic Institute.
“The role of the Parliament in the future of the Kosovo-Serbia” dialogue was the discussion that took place among the chiefs of Kosovo's Parliamentary Groups, with representatives of civil society, academy and media.
Ahmeti Isufi of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has said the party it represents seeks the crucial role of the Parliament in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.
Isufi has added that their subject has no stance on Thaci's idea of a team of unity for dialogue.
Much more critical for the president's role has been Glauk Konjufca, who has declared that “is a lie that Serbia and Kosovo are normalising relations”.
According to him, Serbia's “state every day of river is fighting hard Kosovo”.
He has criticised Thaci “for personalizing the dialog”, which, according to him, is depending on the president's career.
The dialogue role must be returned to the” assembly, Konjufca said.
The former “asked Thaci, who made dialogue with Serbia at the level of presidents?”.
While Elmi Recica of the Democratic Party of Kosovo had a completely opposite stance and said the “president should be at the head of the dialogue”, while “widths with Serbia should be approved by the Parliament and dialogue is the best way to reconcile”.
