Tens of security personnel in Egypt have lost their lives as they raided a hiding place of suspected Islamists. The death toll has increased to at least 35, according to Egyptian officials, broadcasts Arbre portals.info.
During the raid they have suffered human casualties. Officials told the New York Times that the incident occurred in Egypt's Giza governor, when police went to act after a tip about the militants' whereabouts.
The object of the operation was a settlement where eight members of the Hasm Movement were believed to have been deployed. Hasm has taken over the murder of judges and police officers in the country over the past year, Al Arabiya reports.
Cairo claims Hasmi is a violent branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, but the brotherhood has denied the relationship to Hasm,
