Government Approves Budget Bill

The Kosovo government at the meeting held earlier today adopted the draft draft budget of the Republic of Kosovo for 2018.

The country's Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that a valid job has been done in drafting the budget, assessing that the budget is secure and based on real data that enables economic development.

Finance Minister Bedri Hamza said that 4.6 per cent economic growth is envisioned for 2018.

He said the draft budget is in harmony with the IMF.

“Budget for 2018 will be 2 billion and 82m euros. This budget envisions salary increases for the public sector from January 2018<18x1>, Hamza said.

This bill is designed to be adopted today at the Kosovo Assembly plenary session. /
