Reports from “AFP” say four elephants left their flocks and entered the village of Bhatar in the state of Bengal in the west Sunday morning.
Bengal Forest Minister Benoy Krishna Burma said elephants were angry by some people who had thrown stones at them in an effort to intimidate them, reports The Independent”, the Periscope broadcast.
He said that elephants caused deadly rage by spreading panic in the countryside.
Forest officials were called to help, and one of the elephants, a male, died after being hit with a sedative. The others, one female and two little women, are gone./Periscopi/
