US donates Kosovo $1m without access to border control

The U.S. Export Control and Border Safety Programme (EXBS) and Energy Department (DOE) have donated equipment worth $1m and $100m for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Border Management Centre, the minister of Export Control and Interbound Border Safety (EXBS) and the Department of Energy (DOE) have donated equipment worth $1m and $100,000 for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Border Management Centre, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Commerce and the Kosovo Department of Commerce Control and Protection.

Finance Minister Bedri Hamza said the Ministry of Finance is very grateful to the US Embassy for all the assistance they are doing now to provide security to Kosovo citizens.
He said this donation will benefit Kosovo Customs, which will be equipped with newer border management equipment.
The biggest beneficiaries according to him will be Kosovo citizens who will be sure of what enters Kosovo.
Meanwhile, Trade and Industry Minister Bajram Hasani said he hopes this co-operation will continue in the future as well.
