But things in Kosovo do not seem to be too close to resolution. The new commission has already started work, but Kosovo's prime minister says the current version will not pass. The opposition opposes any option, while visa liberalisation is linked to this process.
The commission for marking and maintaining the state border, appointed by government head Ramush Haradinaj, has officially launched its work. This commission, which is led by Bulliqi Speed, has announced that they are working professionally, and are dealing with the state of verified facts, and that under the Law in force will act to complete the demarcation issue with Montenegro. Whatever the case, the current version, according to Prime Minister Haradinaj, will not pass. On the other hand, party deputies who previously agreed to the current version are now opposed. Lumir Abdixhiku from the LDK and Rexhep Selimi from the Vetevendosje Movement say that despite changes that may have the new version, if it is at the expense of Kosovo it will not have their support. Selimi, but Abdixhiku also voiced sceptical that ratification of the demarcation agreement will be carried out soon, even though it is a condition for visa liberalisation, but also a US requirement.
