We're going to convince Montenegro that something has gone wrong with the demarcation.

State Commission member for State Border Marking and Maintaining Florim Isufi has talked about the work this commission is doing on the demarcation issue with Montenegro. Isufi has said changing Montenegrin side statements after forming the new Kosovo commission is a signal that [...]
Isufi has said that changing Montenegrin side statements after forming the new Kosovo commission is a signal that they know something and will not agree with the new commission's findings.
The modified Montenegrin statements make us more serious in our work so that we can extract all relevant information to convince the Montenegrin side that something has gone wrong. You are seeing it until the establishment of this commission, the Montenegrin side has been extremely ready for co-operation and open to review the agreement, while when this commission was formed, they radically changed the stance. This certainly means that they have knowledge that they do not want to reconcile with new achievements. Now let's see”, Isufi has declared.
He further said that it still cannot be talked about deadlines when this commission will come up with a final report on the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
We can't say anything as far as the deadlines are concerned when we're going to date a final report. We're working, we're systemating the material, looking for additional materials, there's a lot that needs to be analysed and then become a final report. So we still don't have it on the agenda of discussing the time period until we have to finish the job... So we have neither legal nor specific regulations as to when the report should be prepared. But the sooner this is done, the better. We hope that we will perform very quickly, but good tests must be made due to the opinion created that this issue is closed, that this should not be discussed, Isufi has been expressed.
In the end, he has said that this commission will go out on the ground to make verifications.
We're going to be on the ground, not just for meeting citizens, but also for verifying different documentations. And it doesn't mean that climate conditions will be an obstacle. When the cabinet's work is done, we'll be on the ground to verify”, Isufi's finished.
Otherwise, the new demarcation commission has been appointed after the formation of Haradinaj Government in order to identify mistakes issued by the preliminary commission.
The issue of ratification of demarcation with Montenegro remains a condition for visa liberalisation for Kosovo.
