Yesterday (day) in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo, regular local elections have been held in 38 municipalities. 43.82 percent of citizens have voted eligible vote during yesterday for their favourite mayoral vote.

According to preliminary results, 19 municipalities have gone to the runoff, meanwhile, as many have been won in the first round.

And what's noteworthy is that among the municipalities the mayors have been elected since the first round, the independent candidate of Elez's Hanin, Rufki Suma and LDK candidate for Fushe Kosovo Burim Berisha have managed to receive the third government mandate without a runoff.

In yesterday's poll, Rufki Suma, according to the CEC's preliminary results, has managed to get 2 thousand 823 votes or 57.32%, meanwhile, Burim Berisha has managed to get 8 thousand and 103 votes, or 63,41%.

We remember similar numbers of votes had taken in 2013 and 2009 elections

In the 2013 elections, Rufki Suma had received 2 grand and 864 votes, or 54.74%, while Burim Berisha had received 9 thousand and 382 votes, or 64,33%.

Even in the 2009 elections, the two candidates in Han, Elez, and the other in Fushe Kosovo had managed in the first round to secure enough votes to govern with their municipalities.

In this election, Rufki Suma had managed to get 2 thousand and 417 votes, or 53,13%, while Burim Berisha had managed to get all 6 thousand and 606 votes, or 56,99%.
