Bosnian authorities extradited Mirsad to the US on Tuesday after he had been on Washington's list for three years because of his alleged ties to terrorist organisations.
Kosovar was expelled on a special plane sent by the American government.
“The staff of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Prosecutor's Office, together with partner agencies, provided needed assistance and co-operation. Because of the sensitivity of the issue, we cannot provide more information and details”, the prosecutor's office said in a press release, writes Balkan Insight.
He was born in 1981 in Kosovo, and since January of this year he has been hiding in Sarajevo's Grbavica district. He was arrested in early July.
An Interpol Red Order for the arrest of Persecuted was issued in 2016, even though the American judiciary has been seeking him since 2014 because of his alleged connections to terrorist organisations.
He allegedly helped an 18-year-old Australian, Jake Bilard, who became known as Abu Abdullah al-Australi, to reach the territory controlled by I SIS.
Australians died in March 2015 in a suicide bombing in Ramadan in Iraq.
