Austria will vote on the country's new parliament Sunday, while the electoral race is focused among the three main parties. According to preliminary polls, the People's Party will be the winner of these elections, while the seat in the new parliament is expected to have the far-right Freedom Party as well.
The Austrians will head to the polls on Sunday and October 15th to decide the composition of the new parliament.
The main race is played among the three parties, the conservatives of the People's Party, the right-wing Freedom Party and the Social Democrats.
Preliminary polls draw up the People's Party and its leader Sebastian Kurz, the winner from these elections, followed by the Hellenic-Christian Freedom Party, while the third are predicted to be the Social Democrats of the current Chancellor Christian Kern.
However, none of the parties will achieve such a convincing victory to govern alone.
The Social Democrats and the People's Party have dominated the Austrian political scene for 7 decades and are currently in a governing coalition.
However, a dispute between them appears to promote the Strache Freedom Party as crucial, making a far-right party part of the ruling coalition for the first time since World War II.
According to analysts, the Austrian people already require change.
These elections will mark the end of a campaign focused on insulting opponents rather than on important issues.
One of the few points the rivals have in common is immigration, while Kurz and Strache have promised stricter rules for Austrian voters, affected by the immigrant crisis in 2015-2016.
