The United States Embassy commends the people of Kosovo for the successful conclusion of the first district of municipal elections.
“We appreciate the Central Election Commission, Local Commissioners, the OSCE, as well as all monitoring and monitoring teams for the hard work they have done. While we have concerns about some reports of outdated voter records, double voting, and other diaspora irregularities, we hope that some of these issues can be addressed before the upcoming municipal election cycle in November”, the American Embassy's communique in Pristina says.
According to the American Embassy, increased exit to the polls and flat election procedures in most of the country are positive signs for Kosovo democracy.
“We hope all currently elected municipal officials will be committed to positive change in the name of all their voters, which will push Kosovo forward on the Euro-Atlantic integration path”, completed in the communiqué. /Telegraphy/
