Former Energy Minister Dritan Prifti has been separated from life today in Tirana. He died because of a serious condition of leukemia. He was LSI's deputy.
After a video scandal with Ilir Meta, the priest left this political force.
For the past few months, he has been subjected to intensive treatment in Italy and Germany, but despite this he was unable to cope. Last afternoon he returned to Albania, while it became known that his situation is heading towards deterioration.
Shortly before the 25 June elections, he claimed he was facing a serious illness that prevented him from becoming part of the campaign.
He said that he could not physically because he has been struggling with an aggressive and difficult blood disease for over a year. The priest served as Energy Minister in 2009-10.
