Agim Veliu in the October 22nd elections failed to avoid the run-off, while receiving a thousand votes less.
Agim Veliu, the candidate of the Democratic League of Kosovo for the Podujevo municipality, failed to win in the first round in this election.
Veliu scored a drop in the vote Sunday's vote, receiving a thousand less votes that did not secure the vote, from the runoff.
Veliu, who held the post of Podujevo chairman in the last term, according to the Central Election Commission, received 18 thousand and 801 votes, 48,29 per cent of votes in the October 22nd local elections, respectively.
In 2013 he had managed to win 19 thousand and 871, votes or 50.16 percent of the votes of those who then came to the polls in Podujevo.
Veliu won the mandate of Podujevo chairman without a run-off in 2013, meanwhile this year he will face the second round with Ayet Potter, from the Vetevendosje Movement, which received 7 thousand votes less.
As for the vote for the Communist Parliament, the LDK marked small growth, since it received 42,55 per cent of the vote compared to 42.08 per cent in 2013.
