The Madagascar Office for Disaster Management reports that 1,192 cases of plague have been identified. More than two thirds of the cases are of the strongest pneumonic shape, broadcast Express.
This office says that less than 30% of people who have had contact with plague patients can be traced, making it more difficult to control the spread of the disease.
The plague is wandering in Madagascar. The outbreak of this disease this year is unusual after reaching the country's two largest cities, Antananarivo and Toamasina.
