Blasts in Damascus until Macro was meeting with the Syrian president

Several explosions have shocked Damascus on Tuesday, July 7th, until France's president met with his Syrian counterpart on a visit that is being described as historic.
Emmanuel Macron had entered the presidential palace to meet with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sahara when the explosions occurred near the Four Seasons Hotel, which is said to be staying Macron. The French president's office said in a statement that the president is sure and that his trip is continuing, writes Le Monde.
Syrian authorities did not immediately comment on the incident.
As reports the French medium “Le Monde”, two explosions were heard in the heart of the capital, Syrian newspaper Al-Wattan and the Syria television network reported.
A Syrian security source told Agence France-Press that one of the bombs was placed in a garbage container and the other in a vehicle near the Four Seasons Hotel.
