Trump is considering selling F-35 fighter aircraft to Turkey, Netanyah says it would undermine the balance of power in the Middle East

US President Donald Trump said he will soon decide whether to sell Turkey F-35 fighter planes despite the congress ban, while praising the country as more loyal than other countries.
“We have a better relationship with Turkey and Turkey in many ways has been much more loyal than other countries that we think would be faithful”, Trump said, arguing that many people believe the country should be able to buy F-35, despite buying a Russian air defence system.
Trump said sales are “something that we're definitely considering”, writes CNN, broadcast Periscopi.
The “is a brilliant aircraft, it's the best aircraft, actually the best one with a big difference, and of course something we'll look at”, he said.
American officials told CNN earlier that Trump is expected to signal this week that he is willing to sell Turkey F-35 aircraft, overturning a ban he imposed during his first mandate and later back into law.
It remained unclear how, exactly, Trump plans to bypass Congress's ban on selling fighter aircraft.
Turkey and Israel, meanwhile, have escalated their rhetoric recently, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyah will pay great attention to Trump's interactions with Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan.
Among Israel's main concerns is the stated goal of Trump to sell Turkey advanced F-35 fighter aircraft with invisibility technology -- an agreement Israel has asked Allies in Washington to block.
Netanyahu made his stand public in an interview for Fox News yesterday, warning that the arming of a “regime affected by the Muslim Brotherhood” would re-x2> reflect the balance of power in the Middle East, which is ultimately guaranteed by Israel's air supremacy and the position of America”.
An Israeli source told CNN that Netanyah has also raised the issue privately with Trump, arguing that the sale could weaken Israel's quality military supremacy.
“The message from the administration was that even if the sale is approved and realised, it will take considerable time to materialise”, the source said./ Periscope.
