Scandal with oil: What did the suspects and lawyers say at the detention hearing?

The Special Court has held hearings to suspects involved in the oil import case, under suspicion of smuggling and organised crime. The prosecutor of the case, Arbreshe Raqa-Shala, has called for the detention measure, while the defense of all defendants has sharply rejected that requirement, claiming procedural violations of the 48-hour deadlines and lack of concrete evidence.

Lawyers have called for the release of their clients or the appointment of softer measures, including financial guarantees.

Faruk Mazrek: “If I have sold water instead of oil, punish me as much as you want”

His defender, lawyer Forti Skoro, claimed the 48-hour ban's legal deadline had passed, making the session illegal. According to him, P The SRK has offered no evidence linking its client to alleged acts.

The suspect himself, Faruk Mazrek, sought release, arguing that he manages business and has major credit obligations to banks. He flatly denied involvement in crime:

There's no evidence for me... Everybody in the hall, let's get one up and say he's got a receipt from me that didn't have a blanket, or he's got a water tank and they sold it instead of oil. I've been telling you to pronounce me the sentence as much as you want. ” Mazrek added that he will not evade justice and respond to any invitation.

Fariz Mazrek: “

His lawyer, Wisar Hoxha, focused on the prosecution's claim that oil Autobots from Albania were partially filled with water for customs evasion. Hoxha stressed that there is no evidence proving that his client modified tankers, made false statements, or ordered workers for something like that.

At the end of the session, defendant Fariz Mazrek himself sought release from custody for family and economic reasons:

I am the parent of three minor children who need parents, and five people are employed in my business, who are dependent on this business of mine. I ask you to release me, I will answer any invitation to the justice organs. ”

We've paid the excise customs, there's no reason to sell it to black”

Lawyer Florent Latifaj said the Special Prosecutor's claims have no economic or legal logic. He explained that his client has regularly paid all state duties including customs, T VSH and the excise on oil so it doesn't make sense that after all these official expenses, sales will be made on the black market.

The defendant, Dashnim Miftari, briefly stated before the court that he fully agrees with his lawyer's word and there was no addition to declaring.

Skender Kelmendi: “Every litre of fuel is fatted and controlled by ATK”

His defender, renowned lawyer Arianan Koci, stressed that the Prosecution's request is in severe trouble and remains completely unclear what his client's incriminating concrete actions have been.

Defendant Kelmendi himself was protected by saying he owns a gas station and that his entire business activity is transparent: “Every action of mine is fattened and checked consistently by ATK”.

Bajraktari Starts: Thirty thousand euros in bail, passport surrender

Lawyer Yll Zekaj stated that P request The SRK does not meet the Penal Procedure Code terms. He dropped the claim on the risk of repeating the work, arguing that Bajraktari has never had a criminal past.

To eliminate the risk of escape, the defence offered the court the immediate surrender of the defendant's passport and a financial bail of 30,000 euros in exchange for freedom.

Adem Morina: Proposed 50,000 euros bail due to age

Lawyer Naim Spahiu called the prosecution's request unproportional and unbased on concrete evidence. He argued that there is no evidence that links his client to the hard work of “Crime in an organised criminal group”.

In view of the defendant's old age, the lawyer Spahiu sought freedom protection, providing a high bail guarantee of 50,000 euros. defendant Adem Morina fully supported his lawyer's statement.

Muhammad Mazrek: Rights violations, documents not provided in Turkish

Lawyer Durim Nevzatt set up a serious procedural violation, suggesting that his client was not provided the subject paperwork in the language he understands, as he belongs to Turkish nationalism.

The defence added that the prosecution has failed to specify its individual actions. The defendant Mazrek backed his lawyer's stance.
