Tragedy from worsening weather conditions, a person dies in Pozeran, of the Year, police detail

News for Periscope Kosovo Police spokesman Valon Osmani has confirmed it.

He said the victim slipped on the floor of his balcony and suffered injuries to his head.

“On the date of 21.07.26, about 16:30, as a result of worsening weather conditions, in the village of Pozhira in the municipality of the Year, a Kosovo male native of 1965, allegedly slipped onto the balcony floor of his home, with what injuries he suffered on his head. The same ambulance was sent to the General Hospital Emergency Centre in Gjilan, where, according to the caregiver, it has been found to be without signs of life. The relevant police units have emerged at the site of the event in co-ordination with the State Prosecutor are taking all necessary investigative actions with the aim of enlightenment and full clarification of the circumstances of this case. By order of the State Prosecutor, the lifeless body is sent to the Pristina Institute of Legal Medicine for obducation”, Osmani said.

Osmani also said that as a result of the severe weather conditions in Pozheran, two others have suffered slight bodily injuries following the collapse of their court's opening doors.
