According to official data of imports from Kosovo Customs for the period January 2026, Brazil has been Kosovo's main supplier of meat and bird-products. A total of 977 million pounds [977 million kg] have been imported from this country, a quantity that he firmly places at the top of the list.
The United States of America has imported 3.25 million pounds of bird meat from Kosovo.
According to data from Kosovo Customs, Turkey is ranked third in third place at 1.29 million pounds, while Slovenia has exported 1.03 million pounds [1.03 million kg]. Top five closes with Poland, from which some 924 thousand pounds have been imported.
Among the biggest exporters towards Kosovo are the United Kingdom, with over 904 thousand pounds, Romania at about 82,000 pounds, Italy at over 503 thousand pounds, Greece at about 44,000 pounds [484 kg], and Hungary with more than 400 thousand pounds of meat and bird byproduct.
The data has been extracted from imports' statistics on the tariff code, which includes meat and bird byproducts, fresh, cold or frozen. This code mainly covers chicken meat, but other categories of bird meat according to customs nomenclatures.
Brazil's dominance in this category testifies to Kosovo's market dependence on poultry meat imports, making this state Kosovo's main partner in supplying this product. /Periscope/
