Earthquakes 5.1 in Peru, one victim and ten injured

An earthquake of 5.1 magnitude, with an epidera in Chupaca of Junni, left one person dead and caused injuries to about ten others Saturday evening in Peru, and damaged religious hospitals and monuments in the Andes area.
At least one person has lost his life and another ten have been injured after a 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit central Peru, writes EuronewsPeriscope broadcast.
The quake struck Saturday evening, with an epic near the town of Chupaca in the Andin region, at a depth of 24km.
Seventeen minutes later, a quarter of 3.7 magnitude hit the same area. Authorities say its intensity was much lower than that of the main earthquake, which felt moderately in Chupaca.
Officials are continuing to assess the damage.
