A violent 6.4 - magnitude earthquake strikes the Philippines

A strong 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck the southern Finnish island of Mindanao on Friday.
The quake struck near Saragani, Davao Occidental, at a depth of 52.4 km (32.5 miles) at 19:34 local time (11:34 GMT), according to the US Geological Service (USGS).
