USKK Top 5 Europe Project

Kosovo's Correcting Service has achieved a significant international success, ranking among the top five initiatives at the EuroPris Price Award with the “Art project from Princeton: Transforming Inceration into Optimity”.
At the ceremony held in Malta, within the framework of the 15th EuroPristina General Meeting, the Kosovo project was selected among the top five finalists, along with France, Spain, Portugal and Greece.
The project, carried out by the Women's Correcting Centre in Lipjan in collaboration with NGO MONUMENTA, has been praised for the innovative approach to empowering women condemned through art, developing creative skills and creating opportunities for integration into society.
According to the EuroPris assessment panel, the initiative has been distinguished by the quality, impact and contemporary approach in rehabilitation and re-socialisation of prisoners.
Kosovo Correspondent General Director Ismail Dibrani thanked the corrective staff, the Women's Correcting Centre management in Lipjan and partners from the NGO MONUMENTA for the dedication shown in implementing the project.
He stressed that ranking among the top five in Europe represents evidence of advancing rehabilitation programmes in Kosovo's correctional system and additional motivation for establishing more professional standards.
This international assessment confirms the commitment of the Kosovo Correcting Service to promoting modern practices and effective approaches to rehabilitation and resocialisation.
