Rexhepi says VV and MPs of non-Serb communities have 61 votes for forming institutions

After the certificate of election results, Kosovo is expected to enter the phase of forming new institutions.
With the opening of procedures in the Assembly, attention is expected to focus on the election of Parliament Speaker, the establishment of the Government, and ensuring the necessary majority in the country's president's election.
Regarding these developments for “Front Online”, the head of Nova Democraticska Stranka (NDS), Emilja Rexhepi, where she said she expects the Certificate of official election results to pave the way for the creation of new Kosovo institutions.
She has announced that she will first be voted for the Speaker of the Parliament and then for forming the Government.
According to Rexhepi, the Vetevendosje Movement as the largest party with 53 deputies, along with MPs from non-Serb communities, secure 61 votes.
We expect official results in order to pave the way for institution creation. First we will vote for the speaker of the Parliament, then for the Government at the helm with Kurti, as I consider that the VV, as the largest Albanian party with 53 MPs, along with us non-Serb deputies, has 61 votes, and in this case I think it is not necessary to be the other political parties,”, she said.
It has left open the possibility of co-operation with other political forces in the phase of electing the president.
“To elect the president of the state is necessary to have 80 deputies in the hall or 80 votes so that the voting procedure can begin, and that is where support from other MPs is needed, if there is no coalition ahead of the” vote, she has said.
