RTK workers get paid, protest warned off

RTK's Workers' Union has announced that their salaries have been executed.
The union's announcement says that since their demand has been met, the warned protest is cancelled
“Sindicate of Kosovo Radio Television (SPERTK) announces all RTK workers that today the full wage fee -- this requirement of our union, for which we protested on Tuesday this week. Since the requirement for paying salaries has been met, SPARTK reports the warned protest is cancelled, as the union goal for which it was organised has been achieved. This is the result of the sustainability, unity and solidarity of RTK workers, who proved that protection of their rights is above any other interest”, the report said.
The union has said that in the coming days it will be committed to the realisation of the 13th salary and to increasing the amount of daily shush.
The “particular gratitude we express for all the media that professionally conveyed our concerns and demands, for the Association of Kosovo Journalists, for the KEK Union, for civil society organisations, as well as for the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, which publicly supported us in our fair effort to protect RTK workers' dignity and rights. SPARTK points out that our union engagement is not over. Rather, this is evidence that union organisation, solidarity and joint action produce concrete results in the protection and advance of workers' rights”, the announcement says.
