Bekim Haxhiu will address the Supreme: Basis for Recounting PDK Candidate Votes

The candidate for MP from the ranks of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Bekim Haxhiu, has indicated that he will submit his case to the Supreme Court, seeking to recount the votes of the PDK candidates.
Haxhiu said his lawyer is preparing the complaint, which is expected to be submitted within the legal deadline, broadcasts IndexOnline.
“Affat for handing in the complaint is until 12:30 tomorrow, but I believe my lawyer will present him to the Supreme Court that tomorrow morning”, he said.
According to Haxhiu, there is sufficient legal basis for recounting the votes of the PDK candidates, while expressing confidence that the Supreme will decide in favour of his request.
“I believe the Supreme Court will issue a ruling in my favour, because there is grounds to recount the votes of PDK candidates”, Haxhiu said.
A day earlier, he had raised doubts about the voting recount process ordered by the Central Election Commission (KQZ), claiming that samples for recounting have not been chosen by chance and that 185 seats have been recorded in the candidates' results.
Haxhiu had stressed that the purpose of the complaint is to ensure a precise election outcome and respect the citizens' vote.
