Pristina today marks 27th anniversary of liberation

Pristina today marks the 27th anniversary of its liberation with a rich memorial, cultural and sports event programme organised by the Pristina municipality.
This day is dedicated to honoring martyrs and remembering one of the most important events in the history of the Kosovo capital.
The activities begin at 10:00 p.m. with their prayers at the Witnesses' cemetery in Velani, where those who sacrificed their lives for freedom of country will be remembered. Then, at 10:30 a.m., wreaths of flowers will be placed and honours will be made near the monument of the hero Zahir Pajaziti, in the square bearing his name.
Next, starting at 11: 00 p.m., a solemn session dedicated to this historic date will be held at the Communist Assembly Hall. Representatives of institutions, war veterans and various public figures are expected to participate in the event.
One of the most important activities of the day is Marsh The NLA, scheduled to start at 12:00 a.m. from Square “Zahir Pajaziti” and end up in “Square Skenderbeu” Former Kosovo Liberation Army fighters, who will parade in war uniforms, will participate in this march.
The festive program will continue in the afternoon and evening hours. At the “Wadil Vokri” Stadium, by 18:00, sports activity will take place “The star's turn ♫ Football Friends, who aim to convey message unity and celebration.
Also, between 6:30 and 23: 00 p.m., “Square Skenderbeu” will be the focus of the festivities, where a concert with the participation of various musical artists and bands will be held. Ansambli “bayram Curri”, the School of Music “Prenk Japan”, Zauda and Bla Blla Groups, as well as a DJ, creating a holiday atmosphere for citizens.
