Police clarify how the ticket system works from security cameras in Pristina

Kosovo police have clarified the way the punctuation system operates through security cameras on the streets of Pristina, following citizens' complaints that it has not been announced in time for the recorded violations.
Pristina Traffic Police Sergeant Vedat Zuka has indicated that following identification of the camera countering, the fine is sent to the owner of the vehicle at the official address registered at the Civil Record Centre.
According to him, police can contact citizens even via telephone, while in cases where there are no contact numbers, the announcement is sent through the Kosovo Post. Zuka stressed that responsibility for the update of the address falls on the citizen, as police use official data available to them.
He also explained that the vehicle cannot be stopped at the borderpoint due to a fine, unless the owner was announced in advance of the counter-insult.
Cameras automatically identify various violations, including the red light passage, the use of the telephone while driving, the irregular change of tape, returns to banned locations, the lack of priority for pedestrians, and irregular parking.
According to police, between 50 and 70 fines per day are pronounced in Pristina through this system. Citizens have been recommended to regularly control possible fines on E-Kosovo platform to avoid delays and additional procedures, especially during crossing to the border.
In cases where the citizen proves that he has not received a fine announcement in time, police may review the case and allow the price of 50 percent of the fine. /Cashho. com
