KSF, police, KFOR drop 91 World War II shells in Vushtrri

In a joint operation, the EOD BROVO 3 team of the Kosovo Security Force, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police and the US and Finnish teams of KFOR, has removed 91-meter calibre shells from the train station in the village of Platrica in Vushtrri.
As Klan Kosova learns, it is missile shells of the type Fram 37/41, German production, which had remained in that location since 1944.
Unbroken vehicles have been removed and then destroyed in a controlled manner.
Authorities have indicated that a major threat to local residents has been eliminated by this operation.
Likewise, co-operation between KSF, Kosovo Police and KFOR teams has been praised, stressing that their co-ordination contributes to the security and protection of citizens' lives and property throughout Kosovo.
