Klose congratulates Mess for the Historic Record

German legend Miroslav Klose has praised Lionel Messi after the Argentine star became the best goalist in World Cup history.
Messi set the new record in Argentina's 2-0 victory over Austria, where he achieved two goals and took his total to 18 goals in the World, leaving behind Klosen, who had closed his career with 16 goals.
I always said that Mess is extraordinary. For me, Leo is the best football player ever. Congratulations, champ!
The former German striker had held the record since 2014, but he had earlier admitted that he was happy if he was the very Messiah who would break it.
“Records are made to break, and Mess is more than welcome to do so. I've always been a fan of him”, Chloe said before the World's launch 2026.

The Argentina captain had equalled the Klose record 16 goals after het-trick to Algeria in the opening match. As he faced Austria, he went to the helm alone.
The first goal of the evening came in 38th minute and was his 17th in World Cups. In the final seconds of the match, Messie made it back to seal the win and raise the figure to 18 goals.
This success also provided Argentina's qualifications in the phase of elimination directly a match before the group's end.
Record after lost penalty
The historic night did not begin in the best way for eight times the winner of Golden Ball. In the ninth minute he lost a penalty, but then reacted in the best possible way.
It's incredible how everything happened. I lost my penalty, but I probably wouldn't have gotten to the other two goals. I'm happy for the outcome and for the work of team”, Messy said after the match.
Argentina aims to protect title
With six points from two matches, Argentina, led by Lionel Scalon, has secured the qualifications in the next phase and continues its course towards protecting the world title.
I'm very happy for the victory. It was a hard fight and it was very hard to fight. Give us peace for what lies ahead. This is the World, and each match is intense”, it's over, Messy.
