CEC: Over 3 thousand voters abroad have exercised voting rights

The Central Election Commission has announced that by 0900 on Saturday, 11.24 per cent of voters registered in the diaspora for early elections for the Assembly have voted.
Central Election Commission spokesman Valmir Elezi indicated that at 0600, according to local time in Kosovo, the voting process has started at the embassy and consulate of the Republic of Kosovo in Ankara and Istanbul, meanwhile, at 7: 00 a.m., also at the local time in Kosovo, the vote has started in 24 other diplomatic representations located in Europe.
According to data during these first hours of voting from 25 diplomatic representations where the vote started and is under way, by 0900, out of 27,724 registered voters, 11.24% % or 3,117 voters have voted.
Also, it was announced that voting on two diplomatic representatives in the United States (Washington embassy and New York consulate) and on two others in Canada (Otawa embassy and Toronto consulate) will begin at 7:00 local times in those countries, respectively, at 13:00 local times in Kosovo.

Meanwhile, the voting process, at 1300 local time in Kosovo, will begin in these states: 17. U.S. Washington embassy; and New York consulate. 18. CANADY Ottawa embassy; and Toronto consulate.
In general, the vote will take place at 47 locations belonging to 17 embassies and 13 consulates of the Republic of Kosovo, which are located in 18 different states. The total number of registered citizens to vote in 30 diplomatic representatives of the Republic of Kosovo is 27,724 voters. Only registered voters in diplomatic representation will be able to vote on June 6th 2026, as on the voter list, which has been submitted to the diplomatic representation, are only the names of citizens who have selected this way of voting when they are registered as voters outside Kosovo during the census period (May 6th, May 17th 2026).
