Brian Kuci: Kosovo has potential for citizens to pay much less for energy

The candidate for MP from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Blerim Kuci, has declared that Kosovo has great energy potential thanks to rich coal reserves.
Kuci through a post on the social Facebook network has compared oil-rich countries such as Qatar and Arab countries, where the prices of derivatives are apparently lower because of their natural resources, reports Periscope.
This question is interesting but we're going like this. States that are rich in oil. For example, Qatar, Arab states and so on, there's a very small price of oil. We have this potential, we're a lot richer than coal which is our basis for creating energy”, he said.
He stressed that, just as oil is cheaper in production countries, electricity in Kosovo must cost much less for citizens.
“Energy based on our potential, our national resource. That we have the coal should be close to the countries that produce oil. If oil with a country that's a big producer is three times cheaper than any other country, although not even energy here, we have that option, it has to use”, it's beyond Kuci.
It has now said that the creation of new thermal power plants and increased capacity.
Our resources are huge that we ask for are three times cheaper energy than it is today and that citizen pays for energy”, Kuci said. /Periscope
