Albanian Arba Kokalari takes key role in European Parliament

Another significant success for Albanians in European institutions has been marked by Albanian-born Europuta Arba Kokalari, who is appointed to the European Parliament's Equality Commission.
The news has revealed to himself by means of a public response, where it announced that under this commitment it will contribute to the drafting of new policies that connect with artificial intelligence (AI) and gender equality.
According to her, rapid development of artificial intelligence brings great opportunities for society, but it also presents serious challenges in terms of equality. She stressed that women continue to be represented in the sectors of technology, artificial intelligence and digital professions, which affect their professional opportunities and the role they play in developing future technologies.
The colonel demanded that the European Union invest more in digital education, skills related to artificial intelligence and create greater opportunities for women and girls in the fields of technology.
It also raised concerns about irresponsible use of technology, citing the phenomenon of “deepfake” and abuse content created by artificial intelligence, which, according to it, especially affects women.
“Grata must have better opportunities to shape digital future and strong protection when technology misuses”, the Kokalari stated.
The Eurodeput has called on different citizens, experts and organisations to contribute with ideas and proposals for future policies in this area.
Arba Koklari is a member of the European Parliament and represents Sweden from the ranks of Arba Kokalari, distinguishing its commitment to digital market issues, security and gender equality in the European Union. /Albinfo
