The terrorist attack on the train station in Switzerland, three people stabbed, witnesses say the suspect shouted AkaAllahu Ecberı

The stabning of three people at a Swiss train station by an Islamist attacker has been described as an act of terrorism.
Mario Fehr, the security director in the Cyril canton, called the incident a <x0ukt terrorist”. I used this term earlier when describing the attack on an Orthodox Jew in Cyril-Wiedikon”, he said at a press conference.
The attack around 8:30 a.m. left a 28-year-old man with knife wounds on his feet. He is expected to leave the hospital soon. A 43-year-old man was hurt in the neck and already released from the hospital. A 52-year-old man suffered a knife wound in his thigh and remains in the hospital, writes Swissinfo.
Eyewitnesses told the Blick newspaper that the man shouted “Allahu Ecber” during the attack.
Police arrested a suspect shortly later. Marius Weymann, commander of the Cyril Cantonal Police, described it as a 31-year-old with dual Swiss-Turkish citizenship from Winterthur. The man is known for the police and was suspected of investigating the AnKur Mosque at Winter ten years ago.
At the time, the man was charged with violations of a criminal ban on the terrorist group I SIS, broadcast albinfo.ch.
According to Mario Fehr, the suspect was born in Switzerland in 1994 and was naturalized in 2009. In 2024, he moved to Turkey and, according to authorities, returned to Switzerland only in May 2026.
On May 25th, he contacted the city police and made the “declaration unclear”. As a result, he was admitted to a psychiatric hospital. On May 27, a doctor confirmed that he was no longer a danger to himself or others, and he was allowed to leave the clinic. /Periscope/
