US again strikes Iran, attacks one of the main Iranian operations centres in the Persian Gulf region

The United States has carried out new military attacks on Iran, an American official said, while negotiations are under way to end the quarterly war in the Middle East.
The attacks targeted a military structure seen as a threat to American forces and commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
The American official, who spoke on condition of anonymity for Reuters, said American forces had seized and toppled several Iranian fears seen as a threat to military units and commercial ships in the area.
Iran had issued four fears of attack with a single target towards American and commercial ships earlier in the day, two American officials said. American fighter jets F/A-18 Horns, F-16 Fighting Falcon and F-35 Lighting II shot the drones, while American F/A-18 planes later hit a drone control station near Bandar Abbas before they could issue a fifth threat.
American officials said the operations were limited and protective in nature and did not amount to an escalation that could bring down the fragile ceasefire. According to the same information, there were no victims during the incidents.
Earlier, Iranian news agency Fars had reported that three explosions were heard east of the port city of Bandar Abbas about 1:30 local time. According to the report, air protection systems were activated for several minutes, while Iranian authorities launched an investigation to determine the origin of the explosions.
Bandar Abbas is the capital of Hormuzgan province and is considered one of Iran's main operations centres in the Gulf region.
Earlier this week, Iranian media also reported explosions in the area, citing fire exchanges with the American military. Tehran accused Washington of violating the ceasefire in force since early April.
