Spanish Prime Minister Sanchez's headquarters deepens corruption scandal under investigation, including his brother's wife

Spanish police have conducted raids at Socialist Party headquarters in Madrid, under an investigation into allegations of financial violations and corruption, international media reports report.
According to the Spanish Civil Guard, the action was conducted on the court's orders, aimed at securing materials related to a National Court investigation into a former party member who is suspected of involvement in corrupts associated with a state company.
The raids represent another blow to Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez's Socialist Party, which has been at the centre of a series of corruption scandals for months.
Just last week, another court reportedly is investigating former Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodríguez Zapatero for influential trafficking and other possible criminal acts linked to the financial rescue of an airline company. Zapatero has denied the charges.
Meanwhile, Pedro Sánchez's wife and brother are under investigation on charges of influential trafficking, charges they too have rejected.
One of the most serious issues for the Socialists relates to investigations into a former government minister, Sánchez, and a senior party official, suspected of involvement in a bribery scheme allegedly initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pedro Sánchez, who has been leading the Spanish government since 2018, has named the investigation of his family as a <x0-fushare staining”, but earlier has demanded a “public pardon” for scandals involving his former political associates.
