Sorensen for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue: No bilathealization, normalization needed

The European Union's mediator for the Kosovo dialogue, Peter Sörensen, has stated that Kosovo and Serbia need normalisation of relations to advance on the road to European integration.
Those comments were made after a meeting with Albania's Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha, where the focus of the discussions was the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, as well as the region's European perspective.
Through a post on the social network “X”, Sorensen said dialogue would continue to remain a process facilitated by the European Union and rejected the possibility of its bilateralisation.
I talked about dialogue on normalisation between Kosovo and Serbia. I underlined there would be no bilatheralisation of dialogue. It remains a process facilitated by the EU between Kosovo and Serbia”, he wrote.
On the other hand, the European emissary stressed that normalisation is necessary for both sides in the function of advancing towards the European Union.
The two sides need normalisation to advance their path towards the EU”, Sorensen added. /Periscope
