RTK Union calls on management, new board for implementation of minimum wage

The RTK Workers' Union has asked the new Board and the Kosovo Radio Television Management to immediately implement the decision on the minimum wage in Kosovo, which from July 1st 2026 will be 500 euros gross for full-time work.
In a communique, the union has stressed that there are still workers in RTK awaiting the realisation of this legal right and has warned that it will not accept delays in implementation.
The minimum wage is not a privilege, but the legal obligation implemented in all sectors in the Republic of Kosovo” is said in response.
The union's leadership has warned that any attempt to fail to implement this obligation will be reported to the Labour Inspectorate and other competent institutions.
“RTK workers cannot be treated as second-hand category”, said further in communique.

There are workers in RTK who expect this legal right and will not accept any delay or neglect in implementing it. The minimum wage is not a privilege, but a legal obligation that is implemented in all sectors in the Republic of Kosovo.
The union's leadership warns that any delay, avoidance or attempted failure to comply with this legal obligation will be immediately reported to the Labour Inspectorate and addressed to the competent organs of the Republic of Kosovo.
RTK workers cannot be treated as second-class, while the law applies to all others. It is time for RTK to observe the minimum legal standards and the dignity of its workers.
