Rama progress supports student protest in Skopje: Where language is denied, identity is denied

Pristina Mayor Progress Rama has come out in support of Albanian students of Northern Macedonia, who have warned protests May 18th before the Stone Bridge in Skopje, of protecting the use of Albanian.
Rama through a post on the social network Facebook has declared Albanian is not a privilege is the constitutional and fundamental right of every Albanian in Northern Macedonia, reports Periscope.
On May 18th, before the Stone Bridge in Skopje, students rise to protect their dignity, identity and legitimate right. This is not just a student battle is a national and democratic cause. Silence in the face of discrimination is co-ordination. Therefore, today is the time for all Albanians, regardless of parties, ideology or settlement, to stand by the students and seek out in one voice: the law to be implemented and the Albanian language respected, Rama wrote.
Pristina's first show that denial of language implies denial of identity and risk of equality.
"Because where language is denied, identity is denied. And where identity is denied, equality is at stake. Pristina is with you", Rama wrote. /Periscope/
