Montenegro: Albanian parties towards joining a single political subject

Albanian political parties in Montenegro are preparing for a formal union in a single political subject, the Albanian Forum, aiming for the first time to create a unified political organisation of Albanians at the state level.
Referring to unofficial sources, Montenegro's Radio Television (RTCG) reported that the agreement envisions the unification of the Albanian Alternative, the Democratic League of Albanians and the National Albanian Union.
According to the report, the decision on unity comes after the political success achieved through joint action, including the absolute power in the Tuzi municipality, the record state-level outcome with two parliamentary mandates and two posts in Montenegro Government, as well as the estimated results of the ministers and representatives of the Forum in Executive Power, AA reports. Sources close to the negotiations said an additional impetus for the full union came after recent public opinion polls, which showed significant growth in support for the Forum even in Ulcinj, where it has turned into one of the most powerful Albanian political options.
According to the same sources, one of the forum's main political goals is to take the lead in the municipality of Ulcinj after the upcoming elections.
RTCG also reported that it is “almost certain<1> that the leader of the united organisation will be Nick Gilosaj, while significant contributions to the union process have also been made by Ivan Ivanaj and Ferhat Dinosha.
Chatmen involved in the process praised this development as the biggest political consolidation of the Albanian factor in Montenegro since the country's return to independence. /Periscope/
