Iran says it targeted an American base following new US attacks

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it was targeting an American air base in the region, following new US attacks on southern Iran at night.
Kuwait, which houses an American base, said it had captured antix0 threats hostile to rockets and fears"but did not confirm the target, reports BBC, broadcast Periscope.
The release of Iranian missiles came after the US's ousted Iranian fears on Hormuz Strait and hit a military base in Bandar Abbas, a strategic port city in southern Iran.
It is the second time in three days that the US has attacked targets in Iran, saying they were carried out in self-defense. Renewed armies threaten a fragile truce between Washington and Tehran.
The IRC said the attack on the US air base occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning and targeted"buring"of previous US attacks on Iran, according to state broadcaster IRIB.
The American Central Command (Centcom) said Iran's attack on Kuwait was a"serious violation of the ceasefire"that occurred"after Iranian forces launched five fears of attack with one direction posing a clear threat in and near the Strait of Hormuz".
She said all fears were seized and that a sixth threat initiated by an Iranian land control site in Bandar Abbas was also prevented.
Centcom described her actions as measured", merely protective and destined to preserve the"ceasefire.
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Bacari condemned the US attacks and said they constituted violations of the ceasefire.
He added that the Islamic republic would take all necessary measures to protect its national sovereignty", according to the quotes quoted by the IRIB.
Kuwait's Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned what it called the Iranian criminal attacks targeting"its territory.
Earlier this week, the US confirmed an earlier round of cyber-intensive attacks"on the South Iran on Monday, in which they targeted Iranian missile sites and ships trying to deploy mines in the Strait, where thousands of commercial tankers were blocked as a result of the conflict.
Centcom said these attacks were designed"to protect our troops from threats posed by Iranian forces".
The US also imposed sanctions on"Persian Gulf Strait Authority" - Iranian body in charge of collecting payments from ships travelling through the Hormuz Strait.
Any ship that pays authority could also be applied to the risk of sanctions", the US Treasury Department said in a statement. /Periscope
