" - Government decision to allocate 2m euros for tickets

The incumbent Kosovo government allocated an additional 2m euros to subsidise airlines for the charter, just days before the June 7th elections. This decision cannot be called any other than the"an open attempt at buying votes with money from the state".
Finance Minister Iron Murati tried to justify the decision, saying the subsidy relates to the increase in the price of carozina and the preservation of flights during the summer season.
According to him, if flights are canceled, so do the number of passengers at Pristina Airport and the state revenues are damaged.
But that reason is not convincing anyone.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo has requested urgent investigation by the prosecution.
Progress Gruda said it is about “the pure use of public money for party interests”, demanding that justice bodies immediately launch investigations into the decision.
Severe accusations also came from the Democratic League of Kosovo.
MP candidate Hykmete Bajrami said that “in Kosovo's history has not been such a major misuse of the budget on the election threshold”, accusing the government of trying to buy the silence and vote of citizens with public money.
Kosovo Democratic Institute official Eugen Cakoli named the decision “charity on cake” in misuse of public resources for electoral interests.
According to him, power is turning the election race into unevenly under way, using public money for political advantage.
Meanwhile, political analyst Shenoll Muharrem broke out in sharp tongues at Kurti Government's decision.
He called members of the executive <x0horra” and “abusive with public money”, accusing the government of dividing millions for votes, while, according to him, he has not allocated a single cent for farmers and farmers who are facing price ehorts of oil prices.
The debate over 2 million tickets has already gone beyond political criticism and is seen as a serious test for justice institutions, while public pressure for investigations is increasing every day.
