French sanctions against Iran will continue until Hormuz reopen

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot has ruled out the removal of sanctions on Iran, as long as the Hormuz Strait remains blocked by his armed forces.
"We ourselves have imposed significant sanctions on Iran. But it is out of the question that any sanctions be removed as long as the Hormuz Strait remains blocked", Barrot told French broadcaster RTL, reports Telegraph, broadcast Periscope.
"It cannot be blocked, subject to taxes or used as leverage or blackmail", Barrot added.
“Finance should ensure that it never again finds itself in a situation forced to pay the price for the wars it did not choose to start”, the French minister added.
This is why we should focus on... how Europe can get rid of all of this dependence on hydrocarbons and oil - no longer dependent on oil, no longer dependent on digital technologies. In short, no longer dependent on things that, in one way or another, attract us to conflicts, disasters and crises in which we are not participants", Barrot stressed at the end. /Periscope
