Milky “Vita” answers to the muja: Illegal Inspection, Inequitable Treatment

The clashes between Economy Minister Andmend Muja, and Milkies “Vita” have continued, following an unprecedented audit that numerous inspectors, according to the company, have implemented today at the minister's order.
In her response to the Muja post, Milky “Vita” points out that it is not against institutional controls, naming them as necessary for food safety, but adds that the company has invested for more than 20 years in high standards, modern technology and continued quality control.
It is difficult to understand why attention is constantly focused on local producers, while imported products are often treated with a softer approach. Current policies are placing the local milk industry in an uneven position”, said in response.
According to the company, if the aim is consumer protection, the law should be applied equally to all, but it also needs to protect local production that, as it points out, invests and employs thousands of citizens.
In response, “Vita” also claims that the inspection conducted by the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency (AUVK) and the Institute for Quality Control (IQT), along with a working group, has been initiated directly by the Minister Muja through a decision signed by him, which he describes as illegal.
Addressing the minister, the company says it is always open to visits and inspections, inviting him to visit the factory to look closely, as it says, production standards.
