The fight to the end? Iran agrees to open Hormuz Strait, deal with US ready

The US and Iran have reached a preliminary agreement to end the Iranian blockade of the Hormuz Strait, a development that could reduce tensions in the Middle East and restore the normal global oil trade movement.
According to a senior American official, the agreement in principle envisions reopening the strategic strait from Iran, while Tehran will commit to giving up its highly enriched uranium reserves.
However, the agreement has not yet been signed and remains pending final approval by Donald Trump and Iranian Supreme Leader.
Hormuz Strait is considered one of the world's most important shipping routes for oil and gas, so any tension in this area has direct impact on international energy markets, writes TCh.
So far there has been no official statement by Iranian authorities on the agreement, while various officials in Tehran have delivered different messages on its possible details.
