Economic Oda: Kosovo's trade with Greece improves, deficits continue with Poland, Saudi Arabia

Kosovo's Economic Oda has estimated that the latest data by the Kosovo Statistics Agency for Foreign Trade with Greece, Poland and Saudi Arabia reflect a mixed picture of the country's economic relations with these markets.
Improved trade balance with Greece is seen as a positive signal, driven by increased exports and reduced imports, while developments with Poland and Saudi Arabia show continuation of the high trade deficit, saysè Economic Oda.
According to the Kosovo Economic Chamber, this data underlines the need for more active export support policies and diversification of markets, especially in the direction of Poland and Middle Eastern countries.
Oda stressed that increasing local production competitiveness and strengthening economic diplomacy remain key to the long-term improvement of Kosovo's trade balance.

What do these information indicate?
• Greece presents the most visible improvement of the trade report through increased exports and reduced imports.
• Poland remains a market with potential but with large trade gap in favour of imports.
• Saudi Arabia continues to be dominated by imports, showing room for expanding the presence of Kosovo products on Middle Eastern markets.
