"Andrit was attached to my body..." - Memory from starting day to The Hague, Thaci

Former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci spoke of moments before leaving for The Hague on November 5, 2020.

He recalled that on the morning of that day, he had told his family that he could face the journey to The Hague.

According to him, their reaction was painful but also supportive, ordering him to care for his health and to face the situation calmly.

“Nata passed quickly. On November 5, 2020, I showed Lum and Andrew the morning, called my parents, and told them they said I should go to The Hague too. They got very upset, they ordered me to maintain health, which comes from man. Don't worry, for God has written it. At 11: 00 p.m., I held a press conference. The main message was goodbye, but goodbye. Back to the office. Co-workers and administration staff seemed upset. We took some pictures, accompanied by applause and tears in my eyes. My dream had been attached to my body, it was the last one with whom I vilified”, Thaci said.
