Iran General publicly appears before Khamene funeral

An Iranian general at the helm of Iran's paramilitary Revolutionary Guard has left the hiding place, as Tehran prepares for the funeral of its late supreme leader, Ajatolah Ali Khamenei, who is scheduled to last several days.
Pictures of Iranian state media showed General Ahmad Vahid attending a meeting for the 86-year-old funeral, and then sitting next to his coffin.
General Vahid is believed to be part of a small click in contact with Iran's new supreme leader, Ajothallah Mojtaba Khamenei, who remains hiding after reportedly injured in Israeli attacks that killed his father in the early moments of war on 28 February.
The general had not been seen publicly for weeks before the Iran War began.
This morning, security forces held Khamene's coffin in their hands.
Religious leaders then walk near his coffin as well as those of his family killed in the attack.
From tomorrow, Iran will hold a day-long funeral for Khamene, with its body being transported to cities both in Iran and neighbouring Iraq. /Periscope/
