Turkey bans access to LGBT passenger tourist ship

Turkish authorities have stopped docking at the country's ports of a tourist ship that serves American travelers LGBTQ+, citing “moral standards” and the “family value”, the executive director of the event company standing behind the next Mediterranean tour has announced.
The tourist ship “Athine-Vane”, which leaves Greece on July 5th, was expected to dock in the live Turkish portal town of Kuşadas two days later, and then a trip to Istanbul, according to Atlantis Events, which is organising the trip.
But in a controversial move, local authorities in Turkey said they have cancelled “vent” after the ship, which is expected to expect more than 1,000 passengers from the US, had been rented by groups “known for behavior incompatible with society structure and our moral values”.
The ship, called Lady Scarlett, is owned by the navigation line Virgin Voyages, supported by Richard Branson, according to MarineTraff.
Atlantis Events said it will now stop in Cairo, Egypt and the Greek island of Crete instead of Turkey. /Periscope/
