Asked about reports of a 45-day ceasefire proposal for the war, a senior White House official has said this idea was not approved by US President Donald Trump.
The “is one of the many things being discussed and [the president of the United States] has not approved the idea”, the official said.
But a number of media reports cited the 45-day ceasefire proposal, which apparently emerged from the “deep negotiations” between the US and Iran, reports Sky News.
These talks were apparently prompted by Trump's deadline, for Iran to allow the entire circulation through the Strait of Hormuz again.
